The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse at RPA aims to achieve lasting change in the way we treat and prevent cancer in Australia, by bringing together all the elements of cancer research, treatment, care and support within one centre of excellence. Opening in June 2013, we are currently bringing together an amazing team of clinicians and informaticians to deliver the patient centered ICT strategy which includes our Lifehouse Oncology Information System (LOIS)
The Supermen and Women we are looking for will be committed to assisting in the redesign of the patient journey for patients and families undergoing cancer treatment by deploying the latest clinical Information systems and technologies.
We have an aggressive delivery timeline, so initiative, courage passion, a sense of humour (and maybe some kryptonite) are essential criteria.
We are looking to recruit from early Feb - April 2012, with Full Time and Part Time roles available. We are based at RPA Camperdown.

- Nursing Lead (FT)
- Pharmacy Lead (FT)
- Patient Engagement Lead (PT)
- Patient Management/Referrals Lead (PT)
- Waitlist/Scheduling Lead (FT)
- Day Surgery /Theatres Lead (FT/PT)
- Health Information/Document Imaging (FT)
- Patient Billing lead (FT)
- Clinical Trials/Data Management Lead (PT)
- Reporting/Dashboards Lead(FT)
- Change Manager/Transformation Lead (FT/PT)
- Business Analyst (FT/PT)
- Projects Coordinator (P/T)
- Integration Architect/Integration Specialists (FT)
- Technical Lead (FT)
- Trainers/Genius's (FT/PT)
These are not roles for consultants, rather we wish to employ staff who will become part of the Lifehouse culture. Most of our project roles are for 2 years.
Essential Criteria
- Clinical or Informatics qualifications (Nursing, Pharmacists, Medical,Allied Health, Patient Administration, Health Information Management, Data Quality, Integration Architect and Reporting)
- Demonstrated experience working within a Clinical Information Technology project within the health sector to deliver outputs and meet agreed deadlines
- Demonstrated understanding of the use of electronic medical records as they relate to clinical processes and the ability of e-health records to contribute to improved outcomes for patients and more efficient clinical practice
- Advanced communications skills including presentation, verbal and written skills. This includes the ability to effectively interact with senior clinicians and the executive
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
